Flamboro Downs Race Nights Beside the Casino
Flamboro Downs is the harness track beside Elements Casino Flamboro, and this page covers the racing side of the evening. It runs through the track's history, its signature cup and the usual race-night pattern. Dates can change, so the race calendar always gets the last word.

Part 1
How the Track Came to Be
Charles Juravinski founded Flamboro Downs, and the track has run standardbred racing since the 1970s. Standardbreds are the harness breed, racing behind a driver rather than under a jockey.
Ownership has changed hands twice since then. Magna Entertainment bought the track in 2003. Great Canadian Gaming Corporation followed in 2005, two years later.
Both the casino floor and the oval are now operated by Great Canadian Entertainment. The casino carries the Elements Casino Flamboro name, while the track keeps the Flamboro Downs name it has always raced under.

The Charles Juravinski Memorial Cup
The Charles Juravinski Memorial Cup is the track's signature race, a Grade 2 event. It was first run in 1977 as the Confederation Cup Pace. In 2022 it took the name of the track's co-founder.
Eliminations for the 2026 edition went on Sunday, May 10, 2026. In one of them, Bruno No No No paced 1:48.2. That mark set the Flamboro Downs track record and a Canadian pacing record on a half-mile track.

Part 3
Race Nights and Post Time
Live harness racing returned on Sunday, September 6, 2026, after a summer break. The pattern for the rest of the year is Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays, with a 6:25 p.m. post time. The last two Thursdays in December are the exception.
Cards do not always go ahead. The live program on Sunday, March 15, 2026 was cancelled because of unsafe track conditions. A full 2026 calendar was not available to this guide, and dates can shift, so check the race calendar before heading out. The racing office answers at 905-627-3561, and the fax line is 905-627-0480.
